🚗 Connected Vehicle Field Test 5.0 is starting!

Warming up for cvft 5.0!

On September 12, 2025, the EU Data Act will come into effect – giving every vehicle owner the right to request and share the data generated by their car. But how will this actually work in practice?

That’s exactly what the Connected Vehicle Field Test (CVFT) 5.0, led by CARUSO together with our shareholders and partners, is designed to find out.

🔍 Key questions we’ll explore:

• Who is acting in accordance with the Data Act?
• Is anything even being offered (data-related) by the OEMs?
• How can drivers request their data from OEMs?
• Which channels will OEMs use to release it?
• How does Data Act data differ from the Extended Vehicle (ExVe) model?
• How fast and in which form do OEMs respond?
• What are the implications for continuous data access and costs?

🏁 Our mission:

• Create transparency on data availability under the EU Data Act
• Benchmark OEM readiness & response times
• Validate request processes and develop standardized templates
• Assess business model implications for the entire ecosystem
